Parents are asking
Screen off. Phone beside the pillow. With Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular connections active, it’s still transmitting wireless signals—just inches from their head.
What could that mean for their sleep? Here’s what research says—and a simple step you can take to reduce their radiation exposure.
Bedtime, in most homes, now looks like this.Five things to know before you decide what to do about the devices in your house: the sleep research, the memory research, how EMF interacts with the body, how to reduce exposure, and what to pick.
Watch a discussion about wireless radiation and EMF products.

1Sleep
Melatonin is your body’s nighttime signal. Light from phones and tablets can suppress its release, pushing your internal clock later—even after you put the screen away.
That's screen light and engagement, not wireless radiation. The EMF question is separate and less settled. That's reasons 2 and 3.

2Memory
Swiss researchers followed about 700 teenagers aged 12 to 17 for a year, estimating how much wireless (RF-EMF) energy each teen's brain absorbed from phone use, then testing memory.
Teens with a higher brain dose scored lower on figural memory (shapes and patterns), and the drop was nearly twice as large in those who held the phone to their right ear, nearest the brain region that does that work.
An association, not proof of cause, and the authors said so. But it's the kind of study that makes "reduce exposure where it's easy" a reasonable call for a parent.

3The body
Phones, tablets and earbuds communicate with radiofrequency EMF radiation. It's non-ionizing (not like X-rays), and the body absorbs some of it, which is what the "SAR" limit on every phone regulates.
If exposure is easy to reduce without giving up the device, reduce it.

A child’s head is still developing. Differences in skull thickness, ear size, and the distance between a phone and brain tissue can affect how wireless radiation is absorbed.
In one computer-modeling study, children aged 5–8 showed about twice the absorption in a small area of outer brain tissue compared with adults. That does not mean twice the radiation throughout the brain, and the same increase was not found in children over 8.
These findings concern absorption—not proof of harm or disrupted sleep.

4The solution
Three things any family can do today, and one that takes under a minute per device:
What WaveBlock's testing demonstrates. Each shield is engineered for its device and measured at FCC-accredited labs:
Up to 76%less radiation · iPhone
Up to 87%less radiation · AirPods
Up to 61%less radiation · iPad"Up to," per device and configuration tested. Reports: waveblock.com/pages/lab-tests. Not a medical device; no claim is made that WaveBlock improves sleep, memory or attention.

Real science. Real data. Real results.
Your family's protection is too important to trust to a magic sticker, a celebrity endorsement or scientific-sounding promises. Some EMF products claim to "harmonize," "neutralize" or "balance" radiation, or even change your body's pH. The question is: can they show you measurable EMF exposure reduction?
Independent laboratory tests document measurable EMF exposure reduction.
What does that mean? Where is the measured EMF reduction?
Tested at independent FCC-accredited laboratories using recognized EMF exposure measurements.
Scientific-sounding words are not a substitute for measurable EMF exposure results.
We study antenna locations on each device (phones, earbuds, iPads and MacBooks) and engineer a specific solution for each.
The same generic sticker or metal coin marketed for completely different devices. Where is the device-specific engineering?
We repeatedly test, redesign and re-engineer our products to achieve measurable results.
A universal promise does not demonstrate how a product performs on each individual device.
We publish complete laboratory reports, from the first page to the last, for you to review.
A single page, certificate or impressive percentage does not tell you how the product was tested.
We focus on actual EMF exposure measurements, not claims about changing your body's chemistry.
Changing a pH reading is not the same as demonstrating reduced EMF exposure.
Your phone, earbuds, iPad and MacBook don't have antennas in the same places. So why would one generic sticker be the answer for all of them? At WaveBlock, we engineer around the actual antenna locations, test at FCC-accredited laboratories, improve our designs, and test again.
No cherry-picked pages. No celebrity endorsements required. Our complete laboratory reports are available for you to inspect.
